I love these photos that I took from my hotel room. It’s a view from the very unglamorous Holiday Inn in Everett Washington 7th floor. I love it because it reminds me that sometimes in life we need to remember to focus on the right thing. A lot of times in life we get distracted by unimportant or meaningless things. Those things can chip away at more the important tasks at hand, leaving nothing left for the more important things. If we choose to use the “power of focus” to weed out the less important things we’ll be able to see our priorities with greater clarity.
What is NOT shown in these photos are a very busy freeway, the parking lot of the hotel, the busy docks and parking lots at the river. Plus a couple of misplaced power lines and road signs. If we can learn to “crop out” the meaningless things in our lives we can focus on what matters and be able to see beauty in just about any situation.
